Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise is a popular American writer, singer and actress best known for her character Ginger Grant in the 1960s the television show Gilligan's Island. Her acting career began as a stage artist during the 1950s starting in Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. She continued to perform in various Broadway productions, before becoming popular in the national theatre arena with Li'lAbner's in the year 1957. Also, she released her debut music album called It's time for Tina during the same year. Louise was the first to make her debut in Hollywood playing Griselda Walden on God's Small Acre, a film about drama that was released in 1958.The film won acclaim from the public and Louise won the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. This time she attended the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her tutor. She signed on with CBS for the role of Ginger Grant. Louise played a wonderful job juggling Broadway and Hollywood. She played somber, contrasting characters to her glamorous image that she was seen as. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. She also played SG-1 on the show and Helen Magnus on Sanctuary. In recent years she's also been a renowned director of popular television shows such as Supernatural and The 100. Born in Essex, Ontario on 28th August 1965, her family relocated to Toronto at the age of three. The city was her home for the first part of her childhood there and then her adolescence. Following her selection for the role as Samantha Carter, she moved to Vancouver at the age of 17 and is a resident of Vancouver ever since.
